The Sports Authority Board is a joint board of the City of Knoxville and Knox County. The Board was created for the purpose of planning, financing, constructing and managing a multi-use stadium in Knoxville.


APPOINTMENT OF BOARD MEMBERS

The Board has seven directors who are recommended by the City Mayor and County Mayor and are jointly appointed by City Council and Knox County Commission. Term are six years with an unlimited number of terms.


MEETINGS SCHEDULE

The Sports Authority Board will meet from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Beck Cultural Exchange Center located at 1927 Dandridge Ave. 

Agenda items include selection of an attorney for the Authority; appointment of a committee to select a financial advisor; and review and discussion of a potential timeline for development of a proposed publicly-owned multi-use stadium just east of the Old City.
