Drive-in at the Midway

Drive-In at the Midway at Chilhowee Park is returning for two screenings this spring! Drive-In at the Midway is free, but reservations are required.

Our spring lineup includes:
Friday, March 26: “Zootopia” (PG, 2016)
Thursday, April 1: “Hop” (PG, 2011)

Gates open at 6:30 p.m., and movies begin at 8 p.m. Vehicles should enter at Gate 13, located on N. Beaman Street, between Magnolia and Martin Luther King Jr. avenues.

We are pleased to partner with the Knox County Public Library to present Drive-In at the Midway, Spring Edition. The drive-in format allows attendees to watch movies on the big screen while maintaining pandemic protocols. Each vehicle may bring in the number of passengers for which it is rated--one per seatbelt. Each reserved space includes an adjacent parking space to accommodate blankets or lawn chairs. Guests will need an FM radio to receive the film's audio from an FM transmitter.

How to make reservations

You will need to make reservations through the Library's website at https://www.knoxlib.org/calendar-programs/programs-and-partnerships/drive-midway.
All movies are PG13 or less, but parents are encouraged to check the parental guides for their families. Check the FAQs below for important rules and tips.

Sponsors
Additional support for the screenings comes from: Visit Knoxville; Chilhowee Park and Exposition Center; Friends of the Library, which will distribute books to attendees; and Publix, which is providing free popcorn to each car that drives in.
