If container is leaking, pack container and contents in an absorbent material such as clay-based kitty litter or crumpled newspaper and place in a sturdy sealable container with contents labeled on outside or put container in a clear plastic bag and seal. Transport materials in vehicle trunk in case of spills. Make sure containers are upright and immobile. The HHW Collection Center is located at the Solid Waste Management Facility at 1033 Elm Street. Hours of operation are as follows: Sunday & Monday: Closed Tuesday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 12 noon. (Amnesty Saturday until 3:00 p.m.)
