Household Garbage Pickup

Household garbage is collected weekly by the City's contractor, Waste Connections.

Per City ordinance, all garbage must be in cans with lids.

Up to four 32-gallon cans will be collected from each household. Garbage cans must be set out no earlier than 6 p.m. on the day before or no later than 7 am on the day of collection.

They must be retrieved no later than 9 p.m. on collection day.

Bulky Waste is picked up the on the same day as your regular household garbage collection.

City Trash and Recycling Collection on Holidays

Waste Connections, the City contractor for household trash and curbside recycling will make pickups as regularly scheduled on most holidays during the year except for the following: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, when they will pickup on the following work day after the holiday. If regularly scheduled pickup falls on one of the above designated holidays collections will resume on the next working day after the above holiday. Each day after, for that week, collections will be one day behind schedule. For example, if the holiday falls on Monday the collection for Monday will take place on Tuesday. Tuesday's materials will be picked up on Wednesday and so on.
