When: Sunday, June 21 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Where: Victor Ashe Park at 4901 Bradshaw Rd.
Cost: FREE!
Bring: Fishing gear, chairs, sunscreen

Father's Day Fishing Event 2008

The City of Knoxville, the Mast General Store, and WIVK present the Father's Day Fishing Event, where dads and their kids catch fish donated by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. Prizes are given for the top three largest fish caught and for catching the albino catfish.

2009 Winners were:
First Place - Pete Rader, 4 pound, 5 ounce channel catfish
Second Place - Tye Goforth, 3 pound, 7 ounce channel catfish
Third Place - Demetrius Rucker, 3 pound, 6 ounce channel catfish
Albino - James Haynes, 3 pound, 7 ounce albino channel catfish
