Riding a bike is one of the best ways to enjoy Knoxville's greenways – but many people don't always have a bike handy when they spot an interesting greenway or have some spare time.

Knoxville visitors and downtown workers have another option: renting bikes at Volunteer Landing to ride along the connected greenways and Tennessee River. The City contracted River Sports to manage the bike rentals which are $10 a person for two hours, or $30 a person for an entire day. The bikes offer a new way for visitors to see the city, as well as benefits for people working downtown.

The bicycle rental office is in the concession stand at the foot of the pedestrian bridge on Volunteer Landing. The rental office is on a route of 16+ miles of greenway trails that go to the Alex Haley Statue in Morningside Park, Gov. Ned McWherter Park, Ijams Nature Center, the Sunsphere in World's Fair Park, the Indian mound in Sequoyah Park, the UT Gardens on Neyland Dr., Knoxville Skatepark in Tyson Park, and miles of beautiful wooded areas along Third Creek Greenway.
