    DATES TO REMEMBER

    November 1 & 2, 2011 - Basketball Officials Workshop– 5:30 PM Site: Christenberry Center- REQUIRED.

     November 3, 2011 - Basketball Scorers Workshop– 5:30 PM Site: Cal Johnson Center -REQUIRED

    November 3, 2011 - Pre-Season Coaches Meeting @ John T. O’Conner Sr. Ctr.
    6:00-8:00PM
    6PM-6:45PM 8u & 10u
    7PM-7:45PM 12u & 14u & 17u

    November 7, 2011 - First official day of practice/evaluations. Anything prior, you must purchase insurance.

    November 22, 2011 - Pre-Season Commissioners Meeting 5:30-7:30PM, Parks & Rec., 917-A East 5 th Avenue.

    December 1, 2011 - A LL ADMINISTRATIVE ($10.00) AND NON- RESIDENT FEES ($5.00) DUE WITH COMMISSION REGISTRATION FORMS & ROSTERS/CONTRACTS BY 4:30 PM . IF NOT IN BY THIS TIME, LEAGUESWILL NOT HAVE OFFICIALS AND/0R CUSTODIANS PAID FOR THROUGH CITY PAYROLL .

    December 3-22, 2011 - Leagues begin.

    Dec. 23, 2011-Jan , 2012 - No games-Christmas Break.

    January 7, 2012 - Season resumes.

    January 16, 2012 - League Holiday-No Games

    January 21, 2012 - ALL ROSTERS FROZEN UNTIL TOURNAMENT TEAM SELECTION. (Make sure new players have time to get in six league games on the existing schedule to be tournament eligible.)

    January 28, 2012 -Regular season ends. (Are your tournament documents ready ?!).

    Jan. 30-Feb. 4, 2012 - Make-up week

    February 7, 2012 - City Tournament documents due for 12u thru 17u.

    February 13, 2012 - City Tournament documents due for 8u & 10u.

    DATES TO REMEMBER

    October 31, 2011 - Team/League Registration begins daily from 8:30 AM - 6:30PM Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday and Wednesday & Friday 8:30 AM-5:30 at the Athletics office @ 917A, East Fifth Ave. Spots are available thru 11/24/09 or until leagues fill up, whichever occurs first.

    November 18, 2011 - Team/League Registration deadline – 4:00PM. Late entry fee is an additional $50.00 dollars after this date.

    December 1, 2011 - ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING, 6:00PM John T. O’Conner Sr. Center, Rm 107-110 (Discussion of By-Laws, Rule Books & Schedules issued, etc.). EACH TEAM SHOULD BE REPRESENTED AT THIS MEETING!

    December 5-8, 2011 - Season begins for teams playing once/week.

    January 3, 2012 - Season resumes for once/week leagues & begins for twice/week leagues.

    January 12, 2012 - Rosters frozen, absolutely no new players added after this date. To be eligible for the City Tournament, players must have played in three games.

    January 16, 2012 - No games…League Holiday

    January 20, 2012 - City Tournament Entry Fee ($50.00) and Classification Forms due.

    February 15, 2012 - Season ends. Tournament brackets will be online 02/16/10.

    After 11/11/11, leagues that have not formed (less than 4 teams) will be dropped and no longer be available. Teams will have the option to move to other leagues or combine leagues/sites.

    Leagues with small case letters = 1 night/week leagues, 8 games, $320.00. Teams can enter at Cecil Webb for one or two nights. ALL CAPS = 2 nights/week leagues, 12 games, “REC” LEAGUE $375.00/COMPETITIVE LEAGUE $385.00.

    League Descriptions

    Competitive Leagues - Players have generally played with a high school and/or college varsity team. Players in this division possess well refined skills and have extensive knowledge of strategies and the ability to use them. This division is very competitive. There are no height or college restrictions.

    Recreational LeaguesPlayers skill level is intermediate to advanced, however they cannot have played college ball, unless they have been out of college at least 10 years. Physical height does not exceed 6’ 6”. This division’s emphasis is on relaxation, recreation, and enjoyment.
