    ADULT LEAGUE DATES TO REMEMBER

    October 22, 2007 Team/League Registration begins daily from 8:30 AM - 4:00PM (Monday-Wednesday until 6:30PM) at the Athletics office @ 917A, East Fifth Ave. Spots are available until 11/17/06 or until leagues fill up whichever occurs first.

    November 16, 2007 Team/League Registration deadline – 4:00PM. Late entry fee is an additional $50.00 dollars.

    November 29, 2007 ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING, 6:00PM John T. O’Conner Sr. Center, Rm 107-109 (Discussion of By-Laws, Rule Books & Schedules issued, etc.). EACH TEAM SHOULD BE REPRESENTED AT THIS MEETING!

    December 3-6, 2007 Season begins for teams playing once/week.

    January 2, 2008 Season resumes for once/week leagues & begins for teams playing twice weekly.

    January 17, 2008 Rosters frozen, absolutely no new players added after this date. To be eligible for the City Tournament, players must have played in three games.

    New! City Tournament Entry Fee ($50.00) and Forms due.

    February 7, 2008 Season ends. Tournament brackets will be ready 02/14/08.

    February 18, 2008 City Tournament begins.

    Leagues in small case letters = 1 night/week leagues, 8 games, $320.00. League begins week of 12/03/07.

    ALL CAPS = 2 nights/week leagues, 12 games, $375.00. League begins week of 01/07/08.

    ADULT LEAGUE DESCRIPTIONS

    Competitive Leagues - Players have generally played with a high school or college varsity teams. Players in this division possess well refined skills and have extensive knowledge of strategies and the ability to use them. This division is very competitive. There are no height or college restrictions as in the Recreational Leagues.

    Recreational Leagues – Players skill levels vary from intermediate to advanced, however they cannot have played college ball, unless they have been out of college at least 10 years. Physical height does not exceed 6’ 6”. This division’s emphasis is on relaxation, recreation, and enjoyment.

    YOUTH LEAGUES DATES TO REMEMBER

    November 30, 2007 Players bound to teams; must have a release to change teams. (Players registered on two teams are considered to be on the first team they play for and are ineligible for the other and cannot have played on a school team.) ALL ADMINISTRA- TIVE ($10.00) AND NON-RESIDENT FEES ($5.00) DUE WITH COMMISSION REGISTRATION FORMS BY 12:00 NOON. IF NOT IN BY THIS TIME LEAGUES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED BEGIN PLAY.

    December 1, 2007 Season begins.

    December 22, 2007 Last games before Christmas Break (depending on facility availability).

    January 5, 2008 Season Resumes.

    January 11, 2008 ALL ROSTERS FROZEN UNTIL TOURNAMENT TEAM SELECTION.
    (Make sure new players have time to get in six league games on the existing schedule to be
    tournament eligible.)

    January 21, 2008 League Holiday

    January 25, 2008 Regular season ends.

    January 28-Feb. 2, 2008 Make-up week (Are your tournament documents ready ?!).

    January 31, 2008 City Tournament documents due in the Athletics Section office!

    February 4, 2008 Deadline to submit City Tournament Documents.

    Feb. 5, 2008 Pre Tournament Coaches Meeting @ John T. O’Conner Ctr.

    Feb. 8- Feb 16, 2008 City Tournament begins. (Sites-Cal Johnson, Christenberry, Cumberland Estates, Deane Hill, E. V. Davidson, Milton Roberts Recreation Centers, and Sarah Moore Greene)

    Feb, 2008 (or March) City VS County Tournament
