February 2, 2007 - Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam and Police Chief Sterling Owen named Marcie Alls-Stubblefield the Civilian Employee of the Month for November. Ms. Alls-Stubblefield has been with the department since January 1997.

Chief Owen said the department simply needed a central place for the collection of the United Way Campaign forms when Ms. Alls-Stubblefield volunteered her services.

Mayor Haslam, Marcie Alls-Stubblefield, Chief Owen"Marcie not only collected the forms, but she diligently went through the painstaking task of checking off every employee who had turned in a form to assure that every KPD employee, both uniform and civilian, had an opportunity to contribute to this worthwhile community fund raiser," said Chief Owen.

Marcie spent numerous hours of her own time to assure an accurate account was maintained for this very important mission. In addition to checking off each employee on the list, she compiled the more than 500 forms into squads, units, and divisions to assist in the administrative calculations required by the department.

Chief Owen said, "We commend Marcie for her hard work and dedication to the department's United Way Campaign effort."

Mayor Haslam said, "We recognize Marcie for her unwavering selfless service to the Knoxville Police Department and the City of Knoxville."

Ms. Alls-Stubblefield will receive a signed certificate from the Mayor and Chief along with a free dinner from Ruby Tuesday Restaurant.
