Listening Tour scheduled at Pellissippi State's Magnolia Avenue campus

August 6, 2004 - Mayor Bill Haslam's Listening Tour will be at Pellissippi State's Magnolia Avenue campus on Monday, August 9.

The Listening Tour is a monthly event designed to bring city hall to Knoxville's neighborhoods.

"We want to make city government more accessible and convenient to citizens, and the Listening Tour is one way we're working toward that goal," Haslam said.

Mayor Haslam and city officials will be on the campus, located at 1610 E. Magnolia Ave., at 5 p.m. Parking for disabled persons is located at the school's Myrtle Street entrance.

Residents will have the opportunity to speak personally with Mayor Haslam before meeting with a city official with specific knowledge related to their comment or concern.
