City of Knoxville, Tennessee
Bill Haslam, Mayor

For Immediate Release
First stop on Listening Tour announced

February 10, 2004 - Knoxville residents are invited to Christenberry Elementary School on Monday, Feb. 16 to share comments and concerns with Mayor Bill Haslam and city government leaders at the first stop of the administration's Listening Tour.

The Listening Tour will be a monthly event designed to bring city hall to Knoxville's neighborhoods, Haslam announced today.

"This is a great chance to make city government more accessible and convenient to its citizens," Haslam said. "I am eager to hear what people think about city services."
Mayor Haslam and city department heads will be at the school, located at 925 Oglewood Ave., from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Participants will be asked to register at the school's cafeteria before meeting with Mayor Haslam and a city official with specific knowledge related to their comment or concern.
