Board of Zoning Appeals
More info about Board
The Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) represents one step in the process
of securing approval of a variance in the City's Zoning regulations.
The process begins when an applicant for a building permit submits
plans with the city's Plans Review and Inspections Division. If plans
are rejected by reason of not complying with the city's Zoning Ordinance,
an applicant can appeal the denial to the BZA for one of two reasons:
The applicant can request a variance of codes, or
The denial represents an error in interpretation of City Code.
