Directions: South on Chapman Highway about a mile past the Tennessee River; park is on left behind the Krystal Restaurant.

The City of Knoxville has recently held public meetings for the future renovation of Sam Duff Park. At these meetings, the following objectives were established for the park's renovation:

1.) Improve entrance from Chapman Highway
2.) Improve southern entrance (easement) on Chapman Highway at the Medicine Shoppe
3.) Remove all chain link fencing
4.) Upgrade the restroom facilities
5.) Create a "plaza" area between the tennis courts and the football/soccer field
6.) New signs for both park entrances
7.) Walking trail in natural area of park
8.) Improve park's landscaping standards
9.) Seek playground improvements
10.) Improve parking along Hedgeapple and consider adding a sidewalk
11.) Upgrade pavilions
12.) Establish a "Friends of Sam Duff Park" for local community volunteers
