Lonsdale Park has recently been renovated and now features three new playgrounds, a large picnic shelter (perfect for special events), a greenway loop, and repaved basketball courts. The renovation also included the removal of Bragg St., making it possible for children from Lonsdale Elementary to play in the park at recess and after school. Overall, the renovation made it possible for Lonsale Elementary School, Lonsdale Park, and Lonsdale Recreation Center to reside together--all on the same block.
