STUDENT POLICE


The Student Police Academy will be a day camp lasting Monday through Friday for two weeks. School Resource Officers will staff the SPA. New Horizons will conduct the Adventure Challenge Courses. The maximum enrollment will be 20 students.

KPD Headquarters (Safety Building) is located at 800 Howard Baker Jr. Av (map attached). Parents will drop off students at the west corner of the KPD parking lot from 8:15 – 8:30 am. Students will be bussed to activities.

Pick-up will be at the same location promptly at 4:00 PM, EXCEPT on Friday, June 6th 5:00 PM, Thursday, June 12th 5:00 PM, and Friday, June 13th 2:00 PM.

Families are invited to KPD Range 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM for the picnic lunch and Graduation. Pick-up on Friday, June 13th will be at the KPD Range at 2:00 PM. KPD Range is located at 6388 Cement Plant Road. Snacks and lunch will be supplied. The Student Police Academy, sponsored by University of Tennessee Law Enforcement Innovation Center, is free of charge. Schedule is subject to change.
