Mayor Haslam, Jack Hampson, Chief Owen
Creation of Data Entry and Tracking Programs Earns Employee Award
Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam and Police Chief Sterling Owen today named Jack Hampson the Civilian Employee of the Month for February. Hampson has been with the Knoxville Police Department since October 2006. Chief Owen said that Jack’s roll in the technical services unit is to program radios, repair equipment, handle day to day maintenance contract issues with radio and mobile data equipment providers, and maintain existing equipment inventories. This extensive list of job duties prompted him to create a technical services database.
