KPD'S HALLOWEEN ON THE PLAZA
After careful consideration and discussions with Halloween in the City participants, the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) will not be hosting the Halloween in the City event in 2012. Instead, the department has chosen to participate in the Boo at the Zoo events at the Knoxville Zoo. This move will allow our department more opportunities to interact with children and adults in our community.

Boo! At the Knoxville Zoo
October 12-13, 18-21, and 25-30
3500 Knoxville Zoo Drive, Knoxville TN 37914
BOO! at the Zoo, a Halloween tradition is a family event featuring devilishly good music and games at the Monster Mash tent in The Clayton Family Kids Cove, your favorite costumed characters throughout the zoo, and the only "haunted" carousel in East Tennessee, the Scary-Go-Round. (How can you tell it's haunted? It goes backwards, of course.) The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and lasts until 8:00 p.m.  Tickets are $6 per person, two and under are free.
