Tracy Isenberg as the September Civilian Employee of the Month for
the Knoxville Police Department. Isenberg works in the Crime Analysis
Unit and has been with the department since February 2002.

DUI Data Collection Effort Earns Employee Special
Honor
Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam and Police Chief Sterling Owen today named
Becky Brack the August Civilian Employee of the Month for the Knoxville
Police Department. Brack is assigned to the Crime Analysis Unit and
has been with the department since February 1998. Chief Owen said
Brack was tasked with the responsibility of tracking, analyzing, and
reporting DUI data for the department. At the time of receiving this
assignment there was no single location that contained complete DUI
data. To accomplish this task, Brack proceeded to create a complete
DUI database.

Positive Promotion of Department Earns Employee
Award
Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam and Police Chief Sterling Owen awarded
the January Civilian of the Month Award to John Venn. Venn is the
supervisor for the Crime Analysis Unit and has been with the department
since May 1996. Venn is being honored for serving as host to three
students as part of a three-week long law enforcement internship.
Chief Owen said that after being contacted by Grace Christian Academy
about hosting the students, Venn took it upon himself to set up a
schedule that would allow them as much exposure to the Knoxville Police
Department and to law enforcement. John met with the students each
morning and took them to meet with their respective unit or person
each day. Over the three-week internship the students spent time with
units throughout the department including the Forensics Unit, the
Criminal Investigations Unit and the Patrol Unit.
