The LIFT

KAT offers Paratransit LIFT service for those persons requiring door-to-door transportation service.  Persons interested in using the LIFT must fill out an application for certification (see below).  
IMPORTANT CHANGES TO KAT LIFT SERVICE:
Effective immediately, the LIFT service area will be confined to a 3/4 mile wide area on each side of each KAT operating fixed route--note that Express Routes are not included, and the service area will change depending on the day of the week.

How to Use the LIFT Service
(NOTE: You MUST be certified by KAT to use these services!)
Be ready several minutes early and have your fare ready--
The cost for the service is $2.50 each way ($5.00 round-trip).
Effective January 20, 2009 the cost will increase to $3.00 each way

Service is by reservation only--Call the LIFT office at 215-7850. Trips may be booked up to 14 days in advance, but we recommend at least 7 days. Trips for next day service should be called in by 4 p.m. the day before service is required.

All LIFT passengers must keep their certification current and re-apply every two years
