Fleet Services division of Operations maintains the city's fleet of more than 1,300 vehicles and equipment (from squad cars to fire trucks and snow plows) which city employees use to deliver many essential public services.

Vehicle Impoundment Lot

Fleet Services also maintains the city's Vehicle Impoundment Lot on Vice Mayor Jack Sharp Rd. in East Knoxville. Approximately 6,000 vehicles a year are processed through this lot. The contact number for the lot is 865-215-6215.

Auctions


Along with other surplus city equipment,vehicles and unclaimed impounded vehicles are sold at public auctions held when inventory warrants. Look for information on these public auctions in the daily newspaper, on the radio, on television and this web site.
