FINANCE DEPARTMENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Finance Department Awards: The City of Knoxville has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting every year since 1986 and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award every year since 1989. Bond Rating Changes: In 2008 Moody's Investors Services upgraded the City from Aa to Aa1. This rating was affirmed in 2010 and reaffirmed in 2012. During the same period Standard and Poor's upgraded the City from AA to AA+. The rating was reaffirmed in 2012. Fitch/ICBA awarded the City its highest rating of AAA in 2007 and has reaffirmed that rating several times, the last being in 2012.
