AVAILABLE SPACE FOR PUBLIC MEETINGS

Please note this list is not inclusive but merely a suggested list of meeting places currently available.
First Baptist Knoxville
First Baptist Knoxville, located at 510 W. Main Street, Knoxville, Tennessee 37902 (the corner of Walnut and Main Streets in downtown Knoxville), has meeting spaces available at no charge on a first-come, first-serve basis for non-profit agencies.

Process for meeting in First Baptist Knoxville:
  • First contact Helen Jordan in the church office at PHONE: 865-546-9661 or FAX: 865-546-3732 or via EMAIL: hjordan@fbcknox.org
  • Second, you must fill out the appropriate form which can be picked up from Helen at the church office or downloaded at www.fbcknox.org.
  • Third, you must hand deliver, mail, fax, or email this completed form to Helen.
  • Fourth, all meetings in the church are approved at the weekly Monday staff meeting.

    Eating facilities that are sufficient for groups of 300 at tables and for small intimate settings for groups of 30 are available. Several classrooms and conference rooms that provide excellent rooms for conferences, board meetings, and seminars are also available. The Sanctuary of the church seats 900 comfortably for concerts and special events.
  • Community Recreation Centers
    Process for meeting in a Community Recreation Center:
    a) Contact Kenny Jackson @ 215-1413 to make a reservation
    b) Space available during regular operating hours, nights, & weekends if schedule permits
    c) Cost is $20/hr. unless otherwise noted
    * Food Functions Discouraged
    * Alcohol Prohibited
    * After Nov. 1st, Basketball leagues will use most Rec Centers on Saturdays

    Process for meeting in a school:
    a) Contact school principal and complete an application (rooms available nights & weekends pending approval)
    b) completed application, if signed off by principal, is sent to superintendent's office for approval
    c) if approval is granted, application is returned back to applicant and meeting is therefore on schedule
    Note: Custodial fees applicable
    ** Classrooms - $25/hr or $100/day
    ***Gymnasiums/Auditoriums - $35/hour or $100/day

    Non-profit agencies can contact the principal at the selected school to see if fees can be waived. Custodial fees are still applicable.
