The Community Development Dept. has submitted its application for federal funding for a Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).
At a special-call meeting on Nov. 25, City Council approved an NSP plan prepared by the Community Development Department. Council approved the plan at two different funding levels – in case the State of Tennessee restores $1.8 million in funding that had been previously proposed but will now be determined at a later date.
The plan for HUD's direct allocation of $2.735 million was submitted on Monday, Dec. 1, to the local field office of the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development. The plan includes a summary of public comments.
