Each neighborhood organization in the City of Knoxville can have a Web page on this Website, making it easier for site visitors to locate and learn about the city's neighborhoods and neighborhood groups. See Knoxville's Neighborhoods
The Office of Neighborhoods maintains a city-wide map that shows the boundaries for registered Knoxville neighborhoods. The interactive map provides an opportunity for users to explore where neighborhoods are located, to see if they live within a mapped neighborhood, or even use Google Street View to explore neighborhoods at street level.

The Office of Neighborhoods - operating within the Community Development Department - works with established neighborhood groups and with new or emerging organizations to help strengthen and improve Knoxville’s neighborhoods.

Groups whose neighborhoods lie partly or wholly within city limits can register your organization here.

Our mission is to improve communication and foster accountability between and among neighborhoods and city departments; ensure timely and well-coordinated inter-departmental responses to neighborhood needs; and collaborate with neighborhoods to identify, understand and address issues of shared concern.

We help neighborhoods engage in citizen-led improvement initiatives based on assets and needs identified by the residents in each neighborhood. And we provide neighborhood groups with leadership training and other organizing tools to be more effective builders of livable communities.

This Website will grow as we identify resources and develop responses to neighborhood concerns. If you have a suggestion for the Office of Neighborhoods or for this Website, please contact us.
