BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES
Board Candidate Registration

Knoxville citizens have the opportunity to volunteer their services to the City without pay on various boards, committees, and commissions. Some of these are established in the City Charter; others are set up by the Mayor or City Council to perform special, limited functions.

There are two different types of boards, committees and commissions to which citizens can be appointed. Some are appointed entirely by City officials, and the rest are joint with the City and other organizations.

Please e-mail Jackie Clay-Wimbley at jwimbley@cityofknoxville.org and provide a detailed description of how you can contribute to the board you are interested in joining. Be sure to include any special interests and/or qualifications you currently have.
