INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT BOARD OF CITY OF KNOXVILLE
The Industrial Development Board may acquire, develop, lease and sell property to facilitate new businesses locating to Knoxville or assist businesses in expanding their operations. The board may also issue tax-exempt revenue bonds to assist in the financing of projects.
Appointment of Board Members
Seven members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council, each serving for six years.  In the event of a vacancy, an appointment may be made only for the unexpired portion of the term.
Meetings Schedule
Board meets quarterly during the second month of that quarter. Meetings occur on the second Monday of that month at 5 p.m. at the Knoxville Area Chamber offices. February 9, 2009 May 11, 2009 August 10, 2009 November 9, 2009
