| Appointment of Board Members | ||
| The Animal Control Board has 7 members. There is one representative from the Knoxville Zoological Gardens, Knox County Health Department, Knoxville Veterinary Academy, Knox County Humane Society and Animal Shelter, Knoxville Police Department, University of Tennessee School of Veterinary Medicine and one member from the public at large. These members serve four-year terms and are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council. | ||
| Meetings Schedule | ||
| Board meets quarterly on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Young Williams Center. More meetings may be scheduled as needed. | ||
