City Youth Baseball, Softball Champions Take Home Their Trophies
June 26, 2014 - City of Knoxville youth baseball and softball teams have concluded their 2014 spring seasons this month with an end-of-year city-wide tournament.

Between baseball and softball leagues, 165 teams participated in a 12-game season, running from April to June.

In the final rounds of the tournaments, there were 14 different teams competing for the seven championship spots. The tournament champions are:

  • 6 and under tee ball - Fountain City
  • Baseball 8 and under -Fountain City
  • Baseball 10 and under - South Knoxville
  • Baseball 12 and under - Fountain City
  • Softball 8 and under - Falcons
  • Softball 10 and under - Falcons
  • Softball 12 and under - Northwest

    Next year, the City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation's Athletics Division is looking forward to having another successful season. Every year, registration takes place during the months of February and March at local youth commissions. Practices start the beginning of March. Costs to participate vary depending on commission, age group and schedules.
