July 8, 2011 - Knoxville is currently hosting the Wing Ding for thousands of Goldwing motorcycle riders.

There will be several temporary road closures as hundreds of Gold Wing motorcylists join each other for a parade across town at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8. The Wing Ding Grand Parade will start in the southeast parking lot of West Town Mall (near JCPenny's parking area). They will travel from West Town Mall, through West Knoxville, downtown, and then end at the Knoxville Zoo.

Wing Ding 33These roads will be effected:

  • Gleason Road

  • Northshore Drive
  • Lyons View Road
  • Kingston Pike (through Sequoyah Hills)
  • Neyland Drive
  • Hall of Fame Drive
  • Magnolia Ave.

The east bound lanes of these roads will be closed while the parade passes, then they will be immediately reopened.
