Henley Bridge Week 26 Progress
Henley Bridge Project
View Web Cams
SouthKnoxIsOpen.com
July 1, 2011 - Bridge demolition is continuing at a steady pace despite the hot temperatures and numerous afternoon cloudbursts.

The contractor is still concentrating their work over Neyland Drive, which could be done in the next couple of weeks. At that time, traffic will be shifted to the eastbound lanes, and demolition will continue over the westbound side.

When that happens, the Neyland Drive access will be closed via Locust Street. Signage will be in place to detour local traffic. Reconstruction activities are still continuing on the north and south approach ends of the bridge.

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with our TDOT website "live cam" link. Maintenance technicians are troubleshooting the problem and hope to have them up and running soon.

Henley Street Bridge ProjectIf you have questions concerning the bridge or need maps or brochures, please feel free to stop by the Henley Community Center Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or call 865-577-6988. To find out more about the project, detours, Henley Bridge history and to view the project cameras you can visit www.tn.gov/henley. You can also follow the project updates on twitter at twitter.com/HenleyBridge.
