Feel like doing a little grazing, trying out a new watering hole, and shaking your tail feathers?
Then join Knoxville Zoo for Feast with the Beasts on Saturday, August 14, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. for a wildly good
time at one of the zoo's biggest annual fundraisers.
Guests can eat, drink and dance their way throughout the zoo for the evening, sampling some very tasty food and drinks
from more than 25 restaurants, wineries, breweries and distributors. Adventurous eaters can enjoy a variety of cuisines
to suit all types of palates, from appetizers to desserts. Participating vendors include The Crown and Goose, Highland
Brewing Company, Rooster's Bar and Grill, Bayou Bay Seafood House, Puleo's Grille, Regas Restaurant, Texas
Roadhouse, O'Charley's, Romano's Macaroni Grill, and Smoky Mountain Brewery, just to name a few. A complete list
of participating vendors can be found on Knoxville Zoo's Web site at www.knoxville-zoo.org.
Music on three stages promises to keep the evening lively. Mic Harrison and
the High Score will entertain on the main Plaza stage, bringing their rough-andtumble
style of Americana music that has made them Knoxville favorites.
Dream On Alice will rock the Kids Cove stage with hits from the 70's to the
present and for those who are on "island time", Jim Asbell and The Tropiholics
will be performing the best-loved songs of Jimmy Buffet on the Animal
Encounter Village stage. Another crowd favorite has returned this year, too; the
zoo's chapter of the American Association of Zookeepers (AAZK) will be
hosting their famous silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind animal art and great
gift packages.
Tickets for Feast with the Beasts are $60 per person in advance and $70 the day of the event. Zoo members receive a $5
discount. Want to bring the whole herd? Buy nine tickets and get the tenth ticket free! Tickets are on sale at area
ORNL Federal Credit Union branches and Knoxville Zoo's ticket window during zoo hours. Tickets can also be
purchased online at www.knoxville-zoo.org or by calling (865) 637-5331. Feast with the Beasts is for guests 21 years of
age and over and guests must show a valid photo I.D. to enter the event. All proceeds directly benefit Knoxville Zoo.
