22nd Annual Battle of the Orange and Blue Blood Drive
Medic Regional Blood CenterNovember 13, 2009 - Attention all Vol fans! It's time to prove your blood runs orange during MEDIC Regional Blood Center's 22nd Annual Battle of the Orange and Blue - a blood drive competition between Tennessee and Kentucky.

The competition starts Monday, Nov. 16, and runs through Friday, Nov. 20. A complete schedule is available at http://www.medicblood.org or by calling 865-524-3074.

During the Battle of the Orange and Blue, all donors will receive a coupon for a free large one-topping pizza or adult buffet from Gatti's Pizza plus a pint of Mayfield Ice Cream and a limited-edition UT vs. UK t-shirt! And, you will help Big Orange Country get the satisfaction of BEATING KENTUCKY!

Although this is a fun event, it is for a serious cause. This competition helps MEDIC Regional Blood Center ensure that there's an ample supply of blood on hand for the community during the holiday season.

Nationwide, blood donations decrease dramatically during the holiday months. This event will help us ensure an ample blood supply at a time when the need is often greatest. So roll up your sleeve and give blood; let's BEAT KENTUCKY!
