Fibromyalgia Awareness Day in Knoxville
May 12, 2009 - Mayor Bill Haslam presented Janet Glass with a proclamation Tuesday proclaiming May 12, as Fibromyalgia Awareness Day in Knoxville.

The event is also being observed around the country.

Glass is a group leader for Focus on Fibromyalgia, a local support group for people who have the disease and their families. Focus on Fibromyalgia meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in Room 222 of the Family Life Center at Valley Grove Baptist Church.

The group will mark its first anniversary at its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday evening, May 12.
