My McNabb House Giveaway Starts Dec. 10

December 9, 2008 - Mayor Bill Haslam will purchase the ceremonial first ticket for the My McNabb House Giveaway, a fundraising effort supporting the Helen Ross McNabb Center at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10 at Home Federal Bank in downtown Knoxville at 515 Market Street.

Tickets for a chance to win the My McNabb House, a custom-designed, energy-efficient home that will be built in the River Islands Plantation Subdivision in Kodak go on sale Wednesday. Net proceeds will benefit the Helen Ross McNabb Center, a regional center offering mental health care, substance abuse treatment and social services in Knoxville and 16 East Tennessee counties.

More information about the giveaway, including ticket prices and details about the house, will be available Wednesday.
