WIVK Fowlers Christmas Parade This Friday
WIVK Fowlers Christmas ParadeDecember 4, 2008 - The WIVK/Fowler’s Furniture Christmas Parade starts at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 5th along Gay Street and the Old City in downtown Knoxville.

There will be performances by dancers, majorettes, and marching bands in addition to holiday floats and an appearance by Santa Claus and his reindeer among other attractions. Julianne Hough from Dancing with the Stars will be the Grand Marshal.

The parade forms near the Civic Coliseum before marching up the Church Street Viaduct and making a right turn onto Gay Street, making a right turn onto Summit, making a left turn onto Central and a right turn onto Jackson where it concludes.

A complete schedule of Christmas in the City events is available at www.cityofknoxville.org/christmas.

Free parking is available in city parking facilities downtown, including the Market Square Garage, Locust Street Garage and State Street Garage after 6:00 p.m. and on weekends.

Everyone is invited to a party in the 100 Block of Gay Street following the parade.
