November 6, 2008 - The Knoxville Visitor Center, Gloria Ray, Knoxville Tourism & Sports Corporation (KTSC) President and CEO, Russ Jensen, City of Knoxville's 311 Center Director (representing Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam) and characters from Disney On Ice honored 22 first grade students from Tate’s School of Discovery for their Knoxville-inspired artwork.

Students were asked to create drawings depicting what Knoxville attraction they enjoy visiting the most. The KTSC selected three winners and awarded them with a ribbon from Mayor Haslam.
