City's Summer Concert Series Starts June 22

June 13, 2008 - The City of Knoxville’s free “Summer Concert Series” continues this year with Knoxville Community Recreation Band performances on Market Square and at The Cove.

The first show is set for 3 p.m., Sunday, June 22, at The Cove while the second will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 29, downtown on Market Square.

The Knoxville Community Recreation Band is sponsored by the city and includes more than 40 performers who have participated in high school, college, or professional bands.

The band plays a variety of light classical, festive, and marching songs.

This summer marks its 54th year of performances for the popular group.
