Police Explorer Class Starting Soon

KPD Police Explorers Post #300 May 7, 2008 - The Knoxville Police Department is pleased to announce that we will be starting a new police explorer class soon. The Explorer Program provides a fantastic opportunity for young people, ages 14-20 years, to get involved with the police department and contribute to the community. KPD Officers Sammy Shaffer and Todd Childress will be hosting an orientation for the upcoming class at 7:00 pm, on May 16th in the courtroom, at the Safety Building. This will be a time for those interested in the program to come, with a parent or guardian, to hear more about the program, ask questions, and complete the necessary paperwork to be in the next class.
