The City of Knoxville will hold a Small and Disadvantaged Business Conference from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26th at the Moses Center at 220 Carrick Street. This is a free event.
Various presenters including speakers from the City of Knoxville, the Tennessee Small Minority Owned Business Program and the Knoxville Area Urban League among others. Mayor Bill Haslam will also speak briefly during the lunch.
The conference is part of an ongoing series of events by the City of Knoxville’s Community Relations Office and offers sessions aimed at helping small business owners and budding entrepreneurs.
Among the sessions are offerings on how to start a business including development of business plans, financing options and opportunities for doing business with the city.
This conference is sponsored by the city’s Community Relations, Community Development and Purchasing Departments, SunTrust Bank and the Tennessee Small Business Development Center.
