March 11, 2008 - Mayor Bill Haslam and former mayors Kyle Testerman, Randy Tyree and Ambassador Victor Ashe gathered to dedicate the City of Knoxville's Mayors' Portrait Gallery on Tuesday, March 11 in the 5th Floor Atrium in the City County Building

Mayor's Portrait GalleryThe new gallery brings together all of the portraits of former mayors, that the City currently owns, in order and in one place.

The City has had more than 60 mayors, beginning with Thomas Emmerson, including ones born in Ireland, Scotland and England, at least two sets of fathers and sons, two grandsons of Knoxville’s founder, James White and several who served during the Civil War.
