City of Knoxville, Tennessee
Bill Haslam, Mayor

For Immediate Release
Mayor's Walking Tour June 26
Mayor's Tour Info
June 22, 2007 - Mayor Bill Haslam will lead a Walking Tour in the Parkridge neighborhood on June 26 at 5:30 p.m.

Walking Tours are a convenient way for residents to let the Mayor know about issues in their neighborhood and tell him how city government is responding to their needs.

"The Walking Tour is an opportunity for me to meet and hear from residents in the places they value most - their homes and neighborhoods," Mayor Haslam said.

The walk will start at the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church at 2500 E. Fifth Avenue. There will also be a question and answer session in the backyard of the Parkridge Community Organization house at the corner of Spruce and E. Fifth Avenue during the walk.

Mayor Bill Haslam and either department heads or representatives from many city departments will take part in the walk.

In the event of inclement weather the event will be held in the pavilion at the Ashley Nicole Playground in Caswell Park at 620 Winona Street.
