City Recreation Centers Offer Skiing Opportunities

December 1, 2006 - Need a great Christmas gift idea for the kids?

The City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation Division will be taking children (and parents) to instructional ski courses at Ober Gatlinburg during the first week of January.

Tuesday, January 2, and Wednesday, January 3, will be reserved for children ages 14-17 and Thursday, January 4, and Friday, January 5, will be for children ages 10-13.

Buses will depart from the KPD Safety Building at 8:30 a.m. and return at 4:30 p.m. each day. Cost is $85 per child.

Price includes transportation, tram ride, lift ticket, ski rental and ski school. Parents may accompany their child at the same rate.

Please hurry to make your reservation--space is limited!

A deposit of $20 will be due by Dec. 13 (cash or check only).
