City to Offer New Recreation Leagues
New Recreation Leagues
Recreation Centers

August 18, 2006 - Several City of Knoxville recreation centers are now offering individuals and teams an opportunity to participate in Recreational League Play in 3-on-3 Basketball, Volleyball and Dodgeball this fall.

Leagues will be offered for women, men, co-ed, middle school and high school recreational teams. Leagues will begin play after Labor Day on a preferred day of the week. League play will conclude in late October. Games will typically start at 6:00 pm or later each weekday evening.

Eight City recreation centers in all will be participating, among those include Dr. E.V. Davidson, Deane Hill, Cumberland Estates, and Cecil Webb Recreation Centers.

Team registration cost is $20 and games are self-officiated. Team registration will be at the Parks & Recreation Office, 917A East 5th Avenue. Final sign-up date is August 28, 2006.
