For Immediate Release
Knoxville South Waterfront Drop-In Center
April 21, 2006 - The Knoxville South Waterfront Drop-In Center is a temporary information clearinghouse located at 906 Sevier Avenue, east from the Gay Street bridge in South Knoxville. The center has been leased rented by the City of Knoxville through a generous arrangement with Mr. Bart Yancy and his mother, Jane Yancy.

The center will be operated at various times from April 24th through the end of August. Volunteers and city staff will be at the Center to assist visitors with South Waterfront planning materials and discuss current progress on the project.

If you visit the center, you will be able to view a tabletop model showing what the South Waterfront could look like in 20 years, or you can see an animated video flyover of the area as shown in the Vision Plan. Other materials such as large plans, photographic simulations, and reports will all be available at the Drop-In Center.

Also, the Center will be available to hold small community meetings related to the South Waterfront.

The Drop-In Center will be open at times and days to accommodate everyone's schedule. Please feel free to drop by and find out the latest information on the South Waterfront Project!
