Public meeting scheduled to review transit center design
Knoxville Station Transit Center Info
December 7, 2005 - A public meeting will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13 to review the most recent design plans for the Knoxville Station Transit Center.

Registration will open at 5 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Small Assembly Room of the City County Building, 400 Main St.

The design team will make a presentation and attendees will be able to view the plans, ask questions and make comments. Comment cards will also be available.

Knoxville Station will be located on a block bounded by State Street, Commerce Avenue, S. Central Street and Union Avenue, and will include a pedestrian connection to Gay Street. The station will house passenger waiting and transfer facilities for buses, and provide links to the trolley system, shuttles and taxi services.

Written comments may be mailed to Jeff Galyon, Public Building Authority, Andrew Johnson Building, 912 S. Gay Street, Knoxville, TN 37902 or e-mailed to lslocum@ktnpba.org. This comment period will be open through Dec. 29.
