May 23, 2005 - The City of Knoxville will again hosts its Summer Playground Program for children ages 6 to 12 years old at its 14 recreation centers.

Cost is just $10 for city residents - $25 for non-residents - for the program, which runs from June 6 through July 29, with the exception of July 4. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Summer Playground ProgramChildren are offered a variety of recreational activities, including swimming, canoeing and field trips to the Knoxville Arts and Fine Crafts Center. Participants are provided lunch each day at certain locations. For more information, call 865-215-1400 or visit the city's website at www.cityofknoxville.org/recreation.
