Vehicular traffic is prohibited on Historic Market square
Full Text of New Parking Regulation

February 4, 2005 - Vehicular traffic is prohibited on Historic Market square to maintain a safe and open pedestrian atmosphere, protect the flooring surface and provide open lanes for public safety vehicles.

The City issues permits for vehicular access on a very limited basis for uses related to construction and special events.

For construction-related vehicle permits, please call 865-215-2060. For Special Events-related vehicle permits, please call 865-215-4248. Requests should be made at least one business day in advance.

If approved, permits may be picked up at the Central Business Improvement District (CBID) office located at the Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership (KACP), 17 Market Square, #201. Permits must be displayed on the dashboard of the permitted vehicle while the vehicle is on Market Square.
