Horseshoe tournament to benefit senior center

September 22, 2004 - The city of Knoxville is sponsoring a horseshoe tournament at Caswell Park from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1 to benefit the John T. O'Connor Senior Center.

The tournament includes two age categories for participants - "Under 50" and "Over 50." Participants may register as a two-person team or as an individual.

Horseshoes TournamentRegistration will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. at the event; entry fee is $10. Winners in each category will receive a trophy.

The competition will be held on the base paths of the softball fields between home plate and first base, and third base and home place.
