Public Meeting June 5 Regarding KPD's Justice Assistance Grant Application
The City of Knoxville and Knox County will hold a public meeting regarding the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Justice Assistance Grant application on June 5, 2014, from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Knoxville Police Department Training Room, 800 Howard Baker Jr. Drive, Knoxville, TN 37915. Copies of the plan will be available for review at the public meeting. Written comments will be received until June 9, 2014 and should be sent to Knoxville Police Department, Planning and Grants Office, P.O. Box 3610, Knoxville, TN 37927.

Officers Honored for Assistance to Fallen Officer's Family
Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and Police Chief David Rausch today honored two officers for their assistance to the family of Knoxville Police Department Officer David Munson. Officer Munson was tragically killed in a motorcycle crash in October. Officer Sam Henard and Officer Brian Kauffman were presented the Certificate of Excellence for assisting the Munson family during this difficult time.
